Questions hotel operators actually ask.
Does the hotel pay anything to start?
No. The display and the merchandise are supplied on consignment, so there is no purchase, deposit or setup fee for the hotel.
Who owns the inventory on site?
Mobibox owns the consignment stock until it is sold. The hotel is not invoiced for unsold units.
How does the hotel earn from the program?
The hotel receives an agreed share of the sales completed at the property. The percentage and settlement cadence are confirmed in writing before installation.
How much work is this for the front desk?
Minimal. Staff complete the sale the same way they handle any incidental charge. We handle stocking, product mix and reporting.
Where is the display placed?
Usually the front desk, but a market, coffee station, business center or pool area can work as well. We agree on placement during the site visit.
How large is the display?
The countertop stand measures roughly 11.6 × 7.6 × 17.7 inches, so it fits on a standard counter without changing your layout.
Who sets retail prices?
Mobibox proposes pricing based on comparable properties, and we review it with the hotel before launch.
How often is the display restocked?
On a scheduled cadence based on how quickly the property sells through. Replenishment frequency is reviewed after the first period.
What if a guest has a problem with a product?
Products carry the manufacturer's warranty, and a unit reported as faulty is replaced from consignment stock at no cost to the hotel.
Can we use the program across multiple properties?
Yes. Multi-property and management-company rollouts are handled as a single agreement with a phased installation schedule.
Does this require integration with our PMS or POS?
No integration is required. Sales can be recorded through your existing point of sale or folio process.
Can we end the program if it does not perform?
Yes. The agreement allows the hotel to end participation, after which we collect the display and remaining consignment stock.
